Happy 1st Year Anniversary to my Driving License!!

hahaha. it's been exactly a year since i passed my driving test. no more probation plate, no more a probation driver! woohoo. =)

hmm..thinking back on the past year, it was a rather rough to smooth ride (pun intended!) from the initial stages to where i am today. back then when i first passed, my father was always beside me, guiding me on how to drive properly on the roads and making sure i don't commit any serious mistakes. i was a little impatient, and driving with him beside me was definitely stressful. however, slowly i learned and gained my father's trust. by driving more frequently, i guess that built up my confidence, and when i could finally be allowed to drive on my own, it was a great feeling. i like who i am in the driver's seat. that feeling of being in control of speed and distances.

direction-wise, HAHA. all who know me well enough would know what i mean. but my sense of direction did improve though, a little. more or less i learned more roads as i drove. drove close friends to supper during weekends, etc. i especially like driving in the middle of the night when there are very few or no cars on the roads, as if the whole road belongs to you alone. haha.

friends always ask me, "did you drive today?", "why don't you drive to school?" (or to anywhere), "you can drive there what", "why don't you go buy a car, or ask your father buy you one?" and the list goes on. actually i realise it's mostly darryn asking me these stupid questions, like over and over again. kinda irritated already, haha. so let me answer them once and for all. if i can drive, have a car/have access to a car, why wouldn't i wanna drive?! my family has only one car, and no money to get another spare either. so ya, understand the situation and don't rub it in already. thanks, haha.

then again, i would love to take my friends on car rides whenever i have the chance to. felt a little bad that day at iceskating when joy sprained her ankle and was jokingly saying that too bad i didn't drive, if not she would have a chance to sit in my car. haha oh well...

anyway, i'm aiming for my next target: long road trips! haha.
